These photos are not indicative of all surgeries
or all surgeons.
Your circumstances will vary depending on your size,
healing capacity, surgeon, etc.
The BEFORE photos are to show some comparison and of
course all the photos are not exact
comparisons, but are representative based on my photographic
capacity and judgement.
In the AFTER views - REMEMBER this is only 15 days
post-op
and total healing has not yet occurred.

Photo 4 (Post-op) shows some dark marking under the
arm and toward the back...
these are reactions I had to surgical tape. When the
tape was first removed,
there were two large (half dollar size?) blisters
similar to what one might get from a bad sunburn.
They really did not hurt and are healing quickly.
This only occurred on the left side. Reasons unknown.
The left breast area is healing a little more slowly
than the right.... again, reasons unknown.
This can happen in all types of surgery and is once
again, indicative of each individual's
healing differences and who knows what else... (shrug)
Now.... frankly I'll bet that some folks will look
at these photos and feel that this is a 'butcher job'.
Let me tell you... from what I know of the healing
process and how large I was and the type
of virtually 'scarless' surgery that Dr. Menard performed...
I believe that in six months
I will have a very handsome chest compared to what
I had before. And I realize, too,
that I will probably have to see him one more time
for a simple office visit, 'nip & tuck'
procedure to take up a little slack and trim the nipples
a bit.
This is a given, based on my size and was something
we discussed.
It would have also helped, had I lost some more weight
prior to surgery as
was suggested to me, by Dr. Menard. This is one of
the reasons that some
surgeons will STRONGLY SUGGEST that you lose weight
prior to surgery.
They are not being mean, cruel or 'size-ist'... but
are trying to provide you
with the best possible results with the least possible
complications.
In about 4 weeks, I will be posting another set of
photos here to use as continuing comparisons.
Stay tuned for more......! (smile)
