Yes... I know it's been a long time since I've done any updating.
I've had numerous computer problems
and difficulty accessing my server site. I believe that is
all corrected now and I hope to be able to keep
the site a little more current.
If at all possible... take time to think about sending in a small
contribution to Trans Info Project.
Every $5, $10, or $25 (or more) contribution
goes to keeping this site online. I will never push anyone
to contribute, as I know all too well what
it is like to be strapped for money.
On the other hand, keeping this site up does
cost me a small amount each year. I cannot have this site
housed on an unpredictable server or on one
that charges extra for the use of bandwidth. And yes... the
chatroom does use considerable resources on
the server.
If you are interested in sending a small contribution...
keep in mind that I will also send you a small
token of my appreciation. (see the button
at the top of the page)

Good news... I just got the Tax ID number for Trans Info Project
and with that I was able to open a bank account in the name of
Trans Info Project. What that means is, that once I have enough
donations
(approximately another $150. ) I will be able to file for non-profit
501(c)(3) status
as an educational organization. This has been one of my goals for
a long
time. I have done all the paperwork over the past 6 months and learned
all the necessary procedures.
The additional benefit for all of this is... Once the non-profit
status is in place,
Trans Info Project will be able to apply for grants and funding
that are
normally available only to specific types of organizations. It is
possible that
Trans Info Project could become a self-supporting organization and
that would
mean greater accessability for all who are looking for this information.
I'll keep you posted!!

Hang in there, guys... I really am trying to get the *GARAGE* chatroom
going again. I'm learning PERL as fast as I can [grin]
In the meantime... since I've had to relocate the domain to a different
server, I now have to pay for the space. (sigh)
If any of you could find it in your heart to send a small financial
contribution I would surely appreciate it. The server space is $25 per
month (a GREAT rate) but my budget is in serious trouble.
Thanks....

Yes... I know that the general public in Eastern Europe may not be a accepting
as in other areas, but I think there may still be some resources for you.
Best wishes to you and keep your eyes open for a letter!
