My buddy Sam and I had been discussing the lack of inexpensive social situations for us to get together.

There are various 'trans' groups in the area, but little that focused on FTM issues.  In addition the majority of the FTM inclusive groups were more focused on political action.

Don't misunderstand... we (at least *I*) am pretty involved in the political community and do quite a bit of outreach.

We were looking for a social setting to relax within.

So... we started one.
